Ethyl vs. Isopropyl Alcohol: Which Is Better for Your Skin?

When choosing rubbing alcohol for personal hygiene, you may come across two common types: ethyl alcohol (ethanol) and isopropyl alcohol (IPA). Both can effectively disinfect, but which one is better for applying to your skin?

For everyday personal use, 70% ethyl alcohol is an excellent choice. It is commonly used in hand sanitizers and rubbing alcohol products and is generally suitable for disinfecting intact skin. It can also be a little more comfortable for frequent skin use than isopropyl alcohol, although either type can cause dryness with repeated application.

70% isopropyl alcohol is also effective on skin and is widely used as a disinfectant. However, it can be quite drying, particularly when used frequently. Isopropyl alcohol is especially useful for other purposes, such as cleaning electronics and removing grease or residue.

The 70% concentration is important. Alcohol that is too concentrated isn't necessarily better for disinfection. The presence of water in a 70% solution helps the alcohol work effectively against many microorganisms and allows it to remain on the surface longer.

If you're buying alcohol specifically for hands or occasional application to intact skin, 70% ethyl alcohol is a simple and practical choice. Look for products clearly labeled for use on skin and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

One important reminder: rubbing alcohol is not meant to be consumed, even when it contains ethyl alcohol. Some products are denatured or contain other ingredients that make them unsafe to drink.

In short, both ethyl and isopropyl alcohol can be useful disinfectants, but for everyday personal skin use, 70% ethyl alcohol is a convenient option. If frequent use causes dryness or irritation, consider using an appropriate alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing moisturizing ingredients instead.

Moshi Manju: Pinipilahan!

Photo Credits to Moshi Manju Official FB Page

Tinitipid namin iyun at kinakain tuwing almusal at merienda.

Best Websites to Sell Your Digital Art and Photography in 2026

Whether you're a digital artist, illustrator, graphic designer, or photographer, the internet has made it easier than ever to turn your creativity into a source of income.

Instead of relying on local clients alone, you can showcase your work to buyers around the world. From downloadable digital products to print-on-demand merchandise and stock photography, there's a platform for almost every type of creator.

Here are some of the best websites worth exploring.

1. Etsy

Etsy has become one of the most popular marketplaces for creative entrepreneurs.

You can sell:

  • Digital illustrations
  • Printable wall art
  • Stickers
  • Planner templates
  • Wedding invitations
  • Digital journals
  • Photography prints

One of Etsy's biggest strengths is that you control your pricing, branding, and product listings while reaching millions of customers worldwide.

2. Gumroad

Gumroad is an excellent choice if you want to sell directly to your audience.

Creators commonly sell:

  • Digital artwork
  • Photoshop brushes
  • Lightroom presets
  • Tutorials
  • eBooks
  • Design templates
  • Exclusive downloads

Because customers purchase directly from you, Gumroad is ideal for building your own creative business.

3. Creative Market

If you're a graphic designer or digital artist, Creative Market is one of the best places to sell professional design assets.

Popular products include:

  • Fonts
  • Icons
  • UI kits
  • Templates
  • Mockups
  • Illustrations
  • Textures
  • Digital graphics

Many businesses and fellow designers regularly shop here for high-quality creative resources.

4. Adobe Stock

If you're a photographer or digital illustrator, Adobe Stock allows you to license your work to businesses, marketers, publishers, and creative professionals around the world.

You can upload:

  • Photos
  • Illustrations
  • Vectors
  • Backgrounds
  • Textures

Every download earns you a royalty, making it a great source of passive income over time.

5. Shutterstock

Shutterstock is one of the largest stock marketplaces in the world.

It's particularly suitable for:

  • Travel photography

Many professional artists sell:

It's also a fantastic place to build your portfolio and connect with clients in the gaming and entertainment industries.

7. Redbubble

These include:

  • T-shirts
  • Hoodies
  • Stickers
  • Phone cases
  • Posters
  • Mugs
  • Notebooks
  • Tote bags

The platform handles manufacturing, shipping, and customer support, allowing you to focus on creating.

8. Society6

Society6 operates similarly to Redbubble but has a strong audience interested in home décor.

Your artwork can appear on:

  • Canvas prints
  • Framed art
  • Pillows
  • Blankets
  • Furniture
  • Wall décor
  • Stationery

It's a great option if your artistic style complements interior design.

Tips for Increasing Your Sales

No matter which platform you choose, success rarely happens overnight. Here are a few ways to improve your chances:

  • Upload consistently.
  • Use descriptive titles and keywords.
  • Create eye-catching thumbnails.
  • Build a recognizable artistic style.
  • Share your work on social media.
  • Start a portfolio website or blog.
  • Engage with your audience and respond to customer questions.

Consistency is often more important than uploading hundreds of designs at once.

Diversify Your Income

Many successful creators don't rely on a single platform.

For example, you could:

  • Sell printable artwork on Etsy.
  • Offer design assets on Creative Market.
  • License photos on Adobe Stock and Shutterstock.
  • Sell tutorials on Gumroad.
  • Upload artwork to Redbubble and Society6.

This diversified approach can help create multiple streams of income while reducing your dependence on any one marketplace.

Final Thoughts

There has never been a better time to share your creativity with a global audience.

Whether you're creating digital illustrations, graphic designs, concept art, or photography, there are countless opportunities to earn from your work online.

Choose one or two platforms to start with, learn how they work, and gradually expand as your portfolio grows.

Most importantly, keep creating. Every artwork and every photograph you publish is another opportunity for someone, somewhere in the world, to discover your talent.

GitHub vs GitLab vs Bitbucket: Which Repository Wins?

When it comes to hosting and managing code, three platforms dominate the conversation: GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket. Each has carved out its niche, but which one truly stands out?

🔹 GitHub

The largest and most popular platform, GitHub thrives on community. With millions of open-source projects, it’s the go-to for collaboration, visibility, and integrations. If you want exposure and a vast ecosystem, GitHub is hard to beat.

🔹 GitLab

GitLab shines with its all-in-one DevOps approach. Beyond version control, it offers built-in CI/CD pipelines, issue tracking, and security tools. Teams that value a single, integrated workflow often lean toward GitLab.

🔹 Bitbucket

Bitbucket is Atlassian’s answer to Git hosting, tightly integrated with Jira and Trello. It’s especially appealing for enterprises already invested in the Atlassian ecosystem. Its support for private repositories from the start made it a favorite for closed-source projects.

🏆 The Verdict

  • For open-source and community projects: GitHub

  • For integrated DevOps pipelines: GitLab

  • For Atlassian-heavy teams: Bitbucket

Ultimately, the “best” depends on your team’s priorities. If collaboration and visibility matter most, GitHub wins. If seamless CI/CD is key, GitLab is your champion. And if your workflow revolves around Atlassian tools, Bitbucket is the natural fit.

Ano Ang Markdown?

According to Wikipedia, "Markdown is a lightweight markup language for creating formatted text using a plain-text editor."

That time kasi may tinatapos akong test task para dun sa isang company na inaplayan ko.

Curious kasi akong gumawa ng short tutorial on how to install, deploy and use the game project I made.

Galing no?!

Enjoy sa pagbabasa ng blog ko kaibigan.

NWOW Ebike Worth It ang Pagbili

Never pa namin itong napalitan ng parts like baterya at kung anu-ano pa.

Binili namin ito for personal at family use (private).

By the way, sa Lower Bicutan branch Taguig kami bumili at ang name ng store nila ay TailG Marketing Electric Bicycle.

Internet Service Providers Sa Pinas

Basahin at magsaliksik. :)

Automatic Washing Machine

Pagbalik mo ready to get at pwede ng isampay.

English post dapat eto at nakapagdraft na ko before. Kaya lang walang time maipost. Kaya eto na:

I can't help myself but staring at our almost 3-year old automatic washing machine. Up to now, I can't conceal the excitement whenever we use it. The wonders of technology is amazing! :)

Iflix o Netflix: My Experience In Using Them

Naroroong nakakapanood ako ng iilang kdrama series, asian movies at piling-piling western series and films.

May isa pa syang free slot out of 5 at ibinigay niya ito sa akin for free.

That's how they strictly protect all their content from getting shared and stolen.

Anyway, tara nood na muna tayo!

The Umbrella Academy: Ang Aking Bagong Kinababaliwan

Favorite ko nga yung Back to the Future movie installments.

Enjoy-in mo lang at wag masyadong seryoso sa buhay. Have a stress-free life.

Viber, WeChat and Line

The first time I heard these cool apps made me interested to try and install them into my android phone. I got easily hooked to what they are claiming that everything is free. Free to make calls, video calls and send messages (chat). But have you thought something weird or became suspicious at all? You don't need to load just to use these. All you have to do is install them on your phone. I will tell you something what is the catch on this. And that is the wi-fi. You need to have wi-fi near youe. If you are at home and you don't have this stuff, then Viber, WeChat or Line is no use at all and becomes an ordinary app installed on your phone for nothing. They only become free if you have wi-fi or go to the nearest mall where they are offering this free internet connection. But don't expect that your connection with people on the other end is smooth and crisp. There are many people out there who have the same intention as you.

Reaction After Watching Praybeyt Benjamin

Since, I became curious about Praybeyt Benjamin and as a matter of fact, I posted a blog entry of it here, finally I watched the said movie. I wonder why it earned 331 million in the year of 2011 (as of now, it is no longer the 2nd highest grossing film in the Philippines as It Takes A Man And A Woman took its place) and it showed me why.

The film is very funny and infectious. I laughed not because of the funny lines but also to the main lead of this movie who is Vice Ganda. No doubt, his attack, punch lines and actions are all funny and very effective. You will surely hook in the movie and laugh until no voice (air) comes out.
