shopback-screenshot-1

ShopBack Screenshot 3

Pagkatapos, 72 pesos x 12 months = 864 pesos naman per year.

Check Your Flight Online!

 Grabe may ganito pala.

Happy blogging and reading!

AI-Generated Art Is Everywhere—But Human Creativity Still Matters

Over the past few years, AI-generated art has exploded across the internet. With just a few text prompts, anyone can create stunning images in seconds. As impressive as this technology is, it has also sparked an important conversation among graphic artists, illustrators, and digital creators who have spent years learning, practicing, and refining their craft.

One question continues to surface throughout the creative community:

Will handcrafted artwork eventually be buried beneath the endless wave of AI-generated images?

It's a concern shared by many artists today.

The Time Behind Every Brush Stroke

Creating digital art from scratch is about far more than producing a finished image.

Every piece begins with an idea. It is followed by research, sketching, composition, color theory, lighting, perspective, anatomy, experimentation, revisions, and countless hours of refinement.

Behind every finished illustration lies years of learning, practice, and artistic growth. Most viewers only see the completed artwork, not the dedication required to develop the skills behind it.

That creative journey is something AI cannot experience.

AI Is a Tool, Not an Artist

Artificial intelligence is transforming creative industries in remarkable ways. It can help generate ideas, create references, automate repetitive tasks, and accelerate certain workflows.

These are all valuable applications.

However, there is an important distinction between using AI as a creative tool and replacing the creative process entirely.

At its core, art is a form of human expression. It reflects emotions, experiences, imagination, culture, and personal perspective—qualities that cannot simply be replicated through algorithms.

Why Human Artists Still Matter

Despite the rapid rise of AI-generated artwork, human creativity continues to hold lasting value.

People don't simply purchase artwork.

They invest in originality, craftsmanship, and the story behind each creation. Many buyers appreciate knowing that an artist devoted time, passion, and expertise to producing something unique.

Human artists also bring qualities that technology cannot fully replace, including collaboration, creative interpretation, custom commissions, emotional understanding, and the ability to adapt ideas through meaningful communication.

The Challenge Facing Creative Professionals

One of the biggest concerns within the creative community is the growing amount of AI-generated content appearing on online marketplaces.

When thousands of AI-generated images and designs are uploaded daily, handcrafted artwork can become more difficult to discover. This isn't necessarily because manually created work lacks quality, but because the sheer volume of AI-generated content can dominate search results.

For independent graphic artists and digital creators, standing out has become increasingly challenging.

How Artists Can Continue to Stand Out

While technology continues to evolve, there are many ways artists can showcase what makes their work unique.

  • Share sketches and work-in-progress images.
  • Show the creative process behind each piece.
  • Explain the inspiration behind the artwork.
  • Develop a recognizable artistic style.
  • Build a personal brand based on authenticity.
  • Continue learning and refining artistic skills.

These efforts help audiences connect not only with the artwork but also with the person behind it.

Supporting Human Creativity

Consumers also play an important role in supporting creative industries.

Choosing to purchase artwork from independent artists helps sustain years of dedication, education, and artistic passion. Every purchase supports creators who continue to invest time and effort into developing original work.

Technology will continue to advance, and AI will likely remain part of the creative landscape.

However, creativity has never been measured solely by speed or convenience.

It has always been driven by imagination, emotion, and the uniquely human desire to create.

Final Thoughts

Artificial intelligence is not inherently the enemy of creativity. Like any technology, it can be used responsibly, ethically, and as a tool to assist artists rather than replace them.

The hope shared by many creative professionals is that online marketplaces, art communities, and digital platforms will continue to recognize and celebrate handcrafted artwork while providing opportunities for artists who dedicate themselves to developing original skills and authentic creative expression.

As AI continues to evolve, one thing remains unchanged: human creativity has the power to tell stories, evoke emotions, and connect people in ways that technology alone cannot.

That is what makes genuine artistry timeless.

Whether you're a digital artist, illustrator, graphic designer, or photographer, the internet has made it easier than ever to turn your creativity into a source of income.

Instead of relying on local clients alone, you can showcase your work to buyers around the world. From downloadable digital products to print-on-demand merchandise and stock photography, there's a platform for almost every type of creator.

It's a great option if your artistic style complements interior design.

Tips for Increasing Your Sales

No matter which platform you choose, success rarely happens overnight. Here are a few ways to improve your chances:

  • Upload consistently.
  • Use descriptive titles and keywords.
  • Create eye-catching thumbnails.
  • Build a recognizable artistic style.
  • Share your work on social media.
  • Start a portfolio website or blog.
  • Engage with your audience and respond to customer questions.

Consistency is often more important than uploading hundreds of designs at once.

Diversify Your Income

Many successful creators don't rely on a single platform.

For example, you could:

  • Sell printable artwork on Etsy.
  • Offer design assets on Creative Market.
  • License photos on Adobe Stock and Shutterstock.
  • Sell tutorials on Gumroad.
  • Upload artwork to Redbubble and Society6.

This diversified approach can help create multiple streams of income while reducing your dependence on any one marketplace.

Final Thoughts

There has never been a better time to share your creativity with a global audience.

Whether you're creating digital illustrations, graphic designs, concept art, or photography, there are countless opportunities to earn from your work online.

Choose one or two platforms to start with, learn how they work, and gradually expand as your portfolio grows.

Most importantly, keep creating. Every artwork and every photograph you publish is another opportunity for someone, somewhere in the world, to discover your talent.

GitHub vs GitLab vs Bitbucket: Which Repository Wins?

When it comes to hosting and managing code, three platforms dominate the conversation: GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket. Each has carved out its niche, but which one truly stands out?

🔹 GitHub

The largest and most popular platform, GitHub thrives on community. With millions of open-source projects, it’s the go-to for collaboration, visibility, and integrations. If you want exposure and a vast ecosystem, GitHub is hard to beat.

🔹 GitLab

GitLab shines with its all-in-one DevOps approach. Beyond version control, it offers built-in CI/CD pipelines, issue tracking, and security tools. Teams that value a single, integrated workflow often lean toward GitLab.

🔹 Bitbucket

Bitbucket is Atlassian’s answer to Git hosting, tightly integrated with Jira and Trello. It’s especially appealing for enterprises already invested in the Atlassian ecosystem. Its support for private repositories from the start made it a favorite for closed-source projects.

🏆 The Verdict

  • For open-source and community projects: GitHub

  • For integrated DevOps pipelines: GitLab

  • For Atlassian-heavy teams: Bitbucket

Ultimately, the “best” depends on your team’s priorities. If collaboration and visibility matter most, GitHub wins. If seamless CI/CD is key, GitLab is your champion. And if your workflow revolves around Atlassian tools, Bitbucket is the natural fit.

What is .gitkeep and can I safely remove it once folder has files?

I recently encountered this when analyzing a template or boilerplate code in my workplace.

I noticed this weird .gitkeep file and I am curious on what that file is. So I went ahead to Microsoft Edge browser and used CoPilot AI.

I typed a question and immediately received answers.

---

Here are the questions I asked:
"What is .gitkeep? Can I safely remove it once folder has files?"

CoPilot answered me with this:
"Great question! The .gitkeep file is often used as a placeholder in empty directories within a Git repository. Since Git doesn't track empty folders by default, adding a .gitkeep file forces Git to recognize and commit the directory.

Once the folder has actual files in it, you can safely remove the .gitkeep file—its only purpose was to ensure the directory was committed when it was empty. Removing it won’t affect anything as long as there are other files present."
---

Another follow-up question I had is:
"Is .gitkeep a conventional file to commit empty directory?"

CoPilot responded to me with this:
"Yes, .gitkeep is a widely used convention for committing empty directories to a Git repository. Since Git does not track empty directories by default, developers often add a .gitkeep file inside an otherwise empty folder to ensure it remains in version control.

Although .gitkeep isn't an official Git feature, it's a common practice among developers for maintaining necessary directory structures. Alternatively, some teams may use other placeholder files like .gitignore with a comment inside, but .gitkeep is the more intuitive choice."
---

That's it! I hope you find this useful esp. when you get a chance to see a .gitkeep file in your code repo.

Happy coding and programming!

Blog Post Query 1

Android Confirmation Options:

Why Cancel option is always on the left side of the Ok option? It looks weird to me as I used to seeing cancel on the right side of the Ok when I was in college. Is there a particular reason why this is the norm?

I think I should ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot why is that so. If you have an idea or know the answer, feel free to leave your comment below. Thanks!

Aral Aral Pag May Time

Maraming salamat. Typescript for the win!

Ano Ang Markdown?

According to Wikipedia, "Markdown is a lightweight markup language for creating formatted text using a plain-text editor."

That time kasi may tinatapos akong test task para dun sa isang company na inaplayan ko.

Curious kasi akong gumawa ng short tutorial on how to install, deploy and use the game project I made.

Galing no?!

Enjoy sa pagbabasa ng blog ko kaibigan.

Tech Sites I Wanna Try

These are the tech sites I wanna try someday that I used to bookmark in my favorite web browser (Google Chrome):

  • https://www.netlify.com/ (Netlify) - no need to have a manual deployment of your site to the web environment. In other words, it's like an automatic CI/CD.
  • https://firebase.google.com/ (Firebase) - owned by Google, is where you deploy and publish your apps and games instantly and smoothly. You can monitor its statistics and performance online.
  • https://www.heroku.com/ (Heroku) - just like Firebase, Heroku makes the app development the focus of the scene. No need to worry how it will get deployed and published. All the company needs to worry about and focus their time with is thru developing their apps and games.
  • https://pages.github.com/ (Github Pages) - if you are a developer and looking to market your portfolio/projects, then all you have to do is to have a website for that. And that where Github Pages comes in. Check that out and start making your website now.

Portable Speaker

Share your music with a compact device!

Before, when you want to listen to your favorite songs, you just have to plug earphones or headphones in your ears. They are very personal. It doesn't matter whether it is walkman, cd player, portable mp3 or iPod Shuffle. As for those who are expressive and want others to hear their favorites, they should have speaker that is connected on their player, to make everything possible.

But the generation for today is really different from yesterday. Why I say this is due to the fact this portable speaker I witnessed from small kid is totally awesome and incredible.

Viber, WeChat and Line

The first time I heard these cool apps made me interested to try and install them into my android phone. I got easily hooked to what they are claiming that everything is free. Free to make calls, video calls and send messages (chat). But have you thought something weird or became suspicious at all? You don't need to load just to use these. All you have to do is install them on your phone. I will tell you something what is the catch on this. And that is the wi-fi. You need to have wi-fi near youe. If you are at home and you don't have this stuff, then Viber, WeChat or Line is no use at all and becomes an ordinary app installed on your phone for nothing. They only become free if you have wi-fi or go to the nearest mall where they are offering this free internet connection. But don't expect that your connection with people on the other end is smooth and crisp. There are many people out there who have the same intention as you.

Besides, all speakers are not just ordinary speakers but they will be doing talks where they have a real experience on it. I want to learn from someone who knows what he/she is talking about.

Should I Get A Tablet?

Should I Buy A Tablet aside from the gadgets I already have?

I actually consider buying a tablet (android) or iPad mini but it's not a priority since it's only a want. I already have an android smartphone wherein I browse internet and read downloaded ebooks from our desktop. I love the feeling that finally, I can now read them everytime I want. Just like what happened whenever I have job interviews. While waiting on the line, I keep on reading my preferred ebooks just to maximize the time I have. But the only drawback I find in having smartphone are the following:

I Am Thinking To Get A Cheap Phone

Since, I have a loading business and I am experimenting things out, I am planning to get a cheap cellphone. I already have a smartphone with a dual sim feature, but those sim cards are already used in loading (Smart and Globe).

The phone I want to get should be a dual sim phone also. And the sim cards can be of these three: Sun Cellular, Talk N' Text or Touch Mobile.
