My Tips Before You Attend Any Seminars

I've been attended many seminars and this post will educate you on what you should know whenever you attend trainings or seminars.

Most of the tips I will provide should be put in mind before the said seminar, one day or the night before.

  1. Don't forget to have enough sleep or at least 8 hours of sleep so you won't get sleepy when the seminar is on going. I'm sure you don't want to skip what the speakers would say in his/her talks. In the first place, you are there to learn and sharpen your skills and knowledge. You don't want to let your money go for nothing if it has a fee, or if it is for free (sponsored by other big companies), you don't want to waste your time and effort in going there.
  2. Prepare your thick and comfy jacket the night before esp. if the venue of the seminar is air-conditioned. It is ideal for those who are not getting used to cold environment just like me.
  3. Bring pad and pen to take down notes (for traditional) or if you have smartphone or laptop on hands, you may use it as alternative. Technology keeps on superseding the traditional method we have so learn to use them effectively.
  4. Bring also you camera to capture exciting events and to have proofs that you were there in the seminar. You don't want to end the day without remembrance and for sure photography bloggers will benefit from it.
  5. If the staffs and organizers behind it allow you to cam-cord the whole summit, then take the opportunity to video it. You may use it to review the seminar or upload it online so others will benefit from it as well.
  6. Ensure that you have "baon" or food with you in case you get hungry due to you came late and didn't receive a food stub (if ever the organizers announced that they were giving away food stub for early comers).

These are the tips I think is important. And if you have anything else to add, you are free to write your recommendations as well.

As I said, I've attended many seminars in the past and the thing I always forgot is to bring my own jacket. It's hard to listen attentively and concentrate if you are shaking all the time.

I hope it helps you too after reading this entry.
