People tend to fake their age when asking of it. They're ashamed to let other people know about their real age. Maybe they just want to have fun by telling lies/jokes.
But for me, confessing your age is not a big deal. As a matter of fact, we must be proud of it because we reach that age.
I also learned (I'm not sure if I got it from my sister or from books I read) that all of us will surely get to a certain age. So whether you're young or old, I'm sure you will never escape to reach that number.
Let's make my age an example. I am 26 now and you're (no specific person) 18. I just want you to know that I have no regrets with my age because I actually passed that already. You'll get in my age after 8 years so don't brag about your current age.
My advice, I think, is to make your fruitful years (remaining days) worth it by doing what you love and never let other people dictate/control your life.
Life is too short if you always based everything on age. Take note, it's just a number. So cherish every moment you have, love all people endear to you and share your talent with others. By doing these, it will make your stay here on earth memorable and feel more accomplished.
I hope you enjoy and agree with my thoughts.
Happy birthday to me and thank you for reading this, my friend.
