Stairs or Elevator?

Have you thought about these two useful things we usually see and encounter either in our workplace or in other places we go like malls? The main purpose of stairs is to make us reach our destination in any floor inside the building. The same also for elevator. The only difference is in former, we need to exert effort by using our feet and go upstairs or downstairs while in latter it does not require us to use our energy therefore, we just go inside and wait patiently to reach the intended floor. Anyway, I will discuss their advantages over the other on the next paragraph.

Stairs is commonly seen inside a mansion or big house. It is also seen in malls and all corporate buildings. But this one is an alternative and for emergency purposes only because their main means of carrying people / employee from floor to floor is elevator. Anyway, going upstairs and downstairs has a big health benefits. Since you use energy and exert effort, you surely burn fats and make your body work and exercise. Besides, it doesn't need an electricity so if there is a power loss (blackout), you can still rely on it. Still, it is basically required in a two or three-storey house so make sure that you design it perfectly and comfortably.

Elevator, the first time I experienced using it was when my mother was hospitalized in one of the well-known hospitals here in the Philippines. I was scared to try it so I studied how other people use and operate it. After couple of observation, I am confident to myself that it's not that hard at all. I became more exposed to it after I got my first job up to my current work. The only thing I like about it is you don't need to exert effort just to reach the floor of your employer, just get inside, wait for minutes and you're there. The only drawback I hate about it is you may stuck inside if there is a power outage since it is using electricity. Anyway, we should go along with the flow: what is in and latest offers by technology.

Let’s make use of these two as they're already a part of our lives. It just happened and occurred to me to make an article about stairs and elevator coz I am fond of comparing two like things. I hope you like it. =)
